These Terms & Conditions apply to the use of SERI TOKYO services, bidder registration, participation in auctions and transactions resulting from successful bids.
These Terms & Conditions govern the relationship between SERI TOKYO and users who access the website, register as bidders, participate in auctions or purchase lots.
The Auction Rules, Payment Guide, Shipping Guide, Condition Guide, Authenticity information and other policies published by SERI TOKYO form part of the terms applicable to each transaction.
Bidder registration and approval are required before participation. Users must provide accurate and current information, including a valid email address, contact details, shipping address and Instagram ID.
SERI TOKYO may request additional information, decline an application, suspend approval or revoke bidding access where reasonably necessary for auction operation or security.
Auctions are conducted through channels designated by SERI TOKYO, including Instagram Live. Bidders are responsible for maintaining an appropriate internet connection and access to the relevant platform.
Participation is subject to the Auction Rules in effect at the time of the auction.
A valid bid constitutes an offer to purchase the relevant lot at the amount bid, subject to applicable fees and charges.
When SERI TOKYO declares a lot SOLD, the winning bidder becomes obligated to complete the transaction in accordance with the Auction Rules and these Terms & Conditions.
SERI TOKYO's operator display, recording and transaction records are used to determine bid order, closing status and the winning bidder where technical discrepancies occur.
The winning bidder must pay the hammer price plus the applicable Buyer's Premium. Payment-processing fees, transfer fees, shipping costs, customs duties, import taxes and other destination-country charges may apply separately.
Payment must be completed within two days of winning. Available methods may include PayPal, Wise, Bank Transfer and Credit Card.
Bidding is conducted in USD. Settlement is available in USD or JPY. Where currency conversion is required, SERI TOKYO applies its designated reference exchange rate at 24:00 JST on the auction date.
Applicable payment-processing, remittance and intermediary fees are the responsibility of the buyer.
SERI TOKYO primarily ships internationally from Japan using Japan Post EMS. Shipment is arranged after payment confirmation. Shipping charges are the responsibility of the buyer.
Customs duties, import taxes, brokerage charges and other destination-country costs are the responsibility of the buyer.
If a shipment is refused, unclaimed or returned, the buyer is responsible for reshipping and may also be responsible for other carrier or return-related charges.
Cancellation after a winning bid is not permitted. Returns for buyer convenience, including change of mind or incorrect size selection, are not accepted.
A return may be considered where there is a material discrepancy from the stated condition, an authenticity issue or a material error in the item description. The buyer must contact SERI TOKYO within seven days of the delivery date shown by tracking.
Return shipping responsibility is determined in accordance with the Auction Rules and the reason for the accepted return.
Applicable items are reviewed for authenticity by BRANO before auction and may be accompanied by a BRANO authenticity certificate.
Condition ranks and lot information are provided as a practical guide for pre-owned and vintage items. Bidders should review all available images and information before bidding.
Vintage and pre-owned items may exhibit natural signs of age, storage, materials and previous use.
Users must not interfere with auction operation, submit false registration information, impersonate another person, manipulate bidding, engage in fraudulent conduct, misuse the website or attempt unauthorized access to SERI TOKYO systems or accounts.
SERI TOKYO may issue warnings, suspend bidding privileges or prohibit future participation where a user fails to pay, repeatedly cancels transactions, violates these terms, disrupts an auction or creates a reasonable risk to other participants or the service.
SERI TOKYO may pause, postpone, cancel or modify an auction where technical failure, platform disruption, communication failure, operational issues or other circumstances materially affect the fair conduct of the auction.
Website content, auction materials, photographs, graphics, text, branding and other content produced by or for SERI TOKYO may not be reproduced, distributed or commercially used without permission, except where otherwise permitted by applicable law.
Personal information is handled in accordance with the SERI TOKYO Privacy Policy. Registration information may be used for bidder verification, auction administration, payment, shipping, fraud prevention, customer support and related operations.
SERI TOKYO may update these Terms & Conditions when necessary. Updated terms become effective when published on the website, subject to applicable law and any notice requirements that may apply.
These terms should be read together with the Auction Rules and other policies published by SERI TOKYO.
